Designathon 2024

About: Designathon initiative is a design hackathon to develop innovative solutions using co-design and design thinking approaches centered around empowering people to overcome global challenges. The initiative brings together 500 participants working over three days in Riyadh to create a better environment and contribute to community development by forming collaborative teams.

The King Salman Charter Award:

About: The award aims to celebrate built environment projects that have embraced the charter's standards and demonstrated excellence in their execution. It seeks to motivate practitioners and specialists to adopt the concept and standards of the charter within their urban outputs, working towards creating a competitive environment that produces high-quality results.

Saudi Cup Design competition

About the competition

In pursuit of local talent discovery and development, the Architecture and Design Commission has launched the “Architecture and Design Competitions” initiative, targeting all the sectors that fall under its umbrella. The Saudi Cup Design Competition is a competition to design the cups and trophies that will be awarded at the 2022 Saudi Cup for horse racing, and it targets designers, students, and design agencies. The shortlisted designers will have the opportunity to participate in a design workshop, and will be able to make some final touches and adjustments to their designs before entering the final assessment stage.
